Kate Mair - Original Jewellery

T his unique jewellery is made from a lightweight material with a metallic finish. Each piece is individually designed and can incorporate a variety of different textures; hand-painted silk, velvet, and pewter for example. Semi-precious stones such as Sodalite, Mahogany Obsidian, Agate, Skye Marble, and Carnelian as well as Petrified Wood and other materials are often included in Kate's eye-catching jewellery.

As well as designing distinctive jewellery, Kate is a successful artist. She has exhibited at the R.W.A Bristol and various galleries throughout the South West of England. This artistic background has obviously influenced Kate's jewellery design and she is able to incorporate her flair for colour, texture and shape into very individual pieces. Her work is constantly evolving and she derives inspiration from natural forms, such as; fossils, shells, leaves, and the countryside as it changes from season to season.
